Frank and Jen On the Road
A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.
Mountain Standard Time
We have been pretty much relaxing and enjoying the nice Arizona weather. It is warming up a bit earlier than normal, but it sure beats what has been going on in most of the rest of the country. We have decided we cannot drive the motorhome north this summer - the ridiculous fuel prices were the last straw in straining limited resources. We will spend most of the summer here in the house, hopefully with a short trip north to visit family, at least. Looking forward (I think) to experiencing long-term triple-digit temps, and the infamous monsoon season. Should be interesting!
Haven't been keeping this up too well- we have not really been too active this winter. We did visit the Desert Museum Christmas day with Carl and Eileen. We also did a trip to Tubac in the middle of January, and the gals did their annual quilt show day the next week. In February, we drove to Las Vegas for a couple of nights to watch our granddaughter Jill compete in the JAMZ National Cheer and Dance competition. For their two routines, they placed 2nd and 7th - not too shabby for nationals! The next week our friends Mike and Cathy from Colorado stayed with us while Mike was competing in the local trap shooting event. It was good to see them as it has been quite a while. The day they left, we got a dusting of snow in the area. Jennifer overdid it in this busy month and ended up spending another 4 days in the hospital. She has been housebound since she got out, working on here crafts and going stir-crazy. Her followup with the doctor went well, but she has to start pacing herself better. We joined Carl and Eileen for a visit to the Desert Museum yesterday as Jen's first real outing. We walked (slowly) around the grounds, enjoying the spring colors, and visiting the animals, large and small, and the birds, pretty and not so much. Jen did OK though she needed a nap when we got home and is resting today. Looks like we will be here at least through April, depending on the weather and such.
